September, 2010 – In our continuing commitment to the environment, Mears Transportation
Group has purchased and will begin testing the new Freightliner 2011 Sprinter Shuttle
Van.
The Freightliner 2011 Sprinter is an eleven passenger, turbo diesel vehicle that
will deliver 21 miles per gallon of fuel. All 2011 Sprinters are powered by a 3.0-liter
V6 diesel that gets 30 percent better fuel economy than a comparable gasoline engine.
The Sprinter offers more space and comfort for passengers, as well as additional
luggage capability.
The company has purchased six Sprinter vans, one of which will be wheelchair accessible.

to measure, monitor and assist in developing a comprehensive Environmental Policy
to address the immediate and long-term impact of all aspects of our business. To
this end, we have implemented an ISO 14001 compliant Environmental Management System
that includes strategies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from fuel consumption,

March 1, 2010 - Mears Transportation Group announced today that more than $39,000
was raised in employee pledges and a dollar for dollar company matching challenge
to be donated to the Red Cross for Haitian Earthquake relief efforts. In addition
to funds raised, more than 8,000 lbs of donated items including food, water and
medical supplies was also collected and donated to the effort.
