Our dedication to training is rooted in the Mears vision for how a transportation company should operate. With the goal of exceeding our customers’ expectations, our full-time training staff guides taxi drivers, luxury vehicle chauffeurs, bus operators and all other workforce in customized skills programs.

Training is conducted both in the classroom and on the road. Topics include offering exemplary service, standard etiquette at resorts, professional attire and grooming, operational policies and area knowledge training. Also required is our defensive driver program, which focuses on safe driving habits.

Mears Means Quality

Mears takes the responsibility of your safety seriously. We have three maintenance facilities featuring 25 bays and more than 125 mechanics and maintenance personnel all dedicated to the proactive upkeep and repair of our fleet of over 1,200 vehicles.

Each vehicle receives a mandated service inspection every 3,000 miles. Mears-owned sedans, vans and SUVs undergo extensive scrutiny. Additional service level inspections are performed at pre-determined mileage intervals with the goal of replacing parts before they fail. Our motor coaches receive regular service inspections based on engine hours, mileage and type of route performed.

Maintenance doesn’t stop under the hood. Before each Mears sedan, van, SUV or bus leaves our lot, it is thoroughly washed and vacuumed in one of our two full-time car wash stations. Vehicles also receive regular detailing to ensure our passengers are always riding in the cleanest vehicles in town.
