In total, Mears owns over 1,100 vehicles and has over $90-million invested in our fleet. To protect these assets and to ensure the safety of our riders and drivers, Mears controls all maintenance procedures and fleet replacement decisions. Each sedan, van and SUV is put through a detailed preventative maintenance process every 3,000 - 5,000 miles or at least once per month in one of our three full maintenance garages. Maintenance on the buses occurs based on engine hours or miles, depending on the type of service the bus normally performs. We take pride in our automated service calendars and regimented tune-up routines, which ultimately maintain our ability to replace parts before they fail. And because the exterior and interior servicing is also an important detail for our customers, the vehicles are scheduled for detailing every quarter and washing & vacuuming prior to each and every shift.
