Long before the opening of Orlando International Airport, Walt Disney World®, Universal Studios® Florida, SeaWorld® Orlando and other greater Orlando attractions, City Cab of Orlando, which later became Mears Transportation, began its Taxi Service operation in 1939.

As Orlando evolved into a major vacation, tourist, business and convention destination, we evolved our business to fulfill the needs of the millions of travelers visiting Orlando and Central Florida each year. We expanded our service offerings to luxury transportation, and charter bus service for large group transportation in the 1980s. In 1983, Mears Shuttle became the Orlando International Airport shuttle service provider.

Our company grew to ground transportation dominance through our founder Paul Mears Sr.’s vision and focus on exceeding customer expectations. Our relentless focus on Customer Service, Safety and Innovation propelled the company into its eighth decade of private passenger ground transportation in Central Florida.

OUR FLEET

To support Central Florida’s growing ground transportation needs, our extensive fleet consists of over 500 taxi cabs, 250 luxury vehicles, including luxury sedans, SUVs, vans, executive vans and limousines, 250 motor coaches and 45 shuttle vans.
